International Cricket Council (ICC) has awarded exclusive media rights for Sri Lanka to Dialog Television, extending the partnership with the country’s leading pay-television platform through January 2028.
The deal gives Dialog Television the rights to broadcast all ICC global events on its network while also ensuring wide access via a mix of free-to-air coverage and digital streaming. The agreement allows millions of Sri Lankan fans to follow every ICC match over the next four years, including two events that Sri Lanka will host or co-host.
Dialog Television remains Sri Lanka’s largest pay TV provider with a nationwide footprint across news, entertainment, lifestyle and sport. The partnership reinforces the broadcaster’s push to deliver major international events to local audiences.
The rights cycle covers eight ICC tournaments. The headline event is the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which India and Sri Lanka will jointly host. Also included are the 2027 World Test Championship final in England, the 2027 Men’s ODI World Cup in South Africa and Zimbabwe and a series of men’s and women’s Under-19 global tournaments. Sri Lanka will also host the ICC Women’s T20 Champions Trophy in 2027.
ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said the agreement strengthens cricket’s reach in a country where the sport is deeply entrenched. He said the partnership ensures “front-row access” for fans to the game’s biggest moments and aims to attract younger audiences while deepening engagement among core followers. Gupta added that Dialog’s nationwide reach makes it an ideal partner to deliver a modern viewing experience for fans.
Dialog Axiata Group Chief Executive Supun Weerasinghe said the company is committed to offering high-quality coverage across broadcast and digital platforms. He said cricket continues to unite Sri Lankan communities and that the partnership will keep fans closely connected to the sport.
